Cartesian Grid

A coordinate system based on perpendicular axes used to locate points numerically in space. In sculpture, grid and coordinate methods allow measurements from a model to be transferred, enlarged, reduced, digitized, or checked systematically, extending the same logic used by traditional pointing systems.
