Passionate Yet Relatable
Making a Living as a Sculptor · Passionate Yet Relatable

Passion gives sculpture its life, but relatability gives the viewer a way into it. That does not mean making ordinary, sentimental or compromised work. It means offering a recognizable emotion, gesture, story or human truth. The work must remain deeply our own, but it cannot speak only to us. Keep the fire that made the sculpture necessary—then open the door so someone else can enter.
